About us

Busy Bees Benefits

Busy Bees Benefits is an employee and employer benefits provider. We have over 25 years' experience in delivering corporate childcare solutions including Childcare Vouchers, Emergency Childcare and Childcare Nurseries.

Busy Bees Childcare Vouchers was established in 1998 to help working parents save money on the cost of their childcare. Busy Bees Benefits was established in 2010 to bring a complete employee benefits package to the market, offering Childcare Vouchers and other employee benefits to organisations of all sizes nationwide.

We are committed to providing money-saving schemes to both employers and employees, continually adding new benefits and services to our portfolio as requested by our customers. We are often approached by organisations to offer new employee benefits, if there is a demand for a particular benefit we will look into offering the service.

As part of the Busy Bees Group, the largest childcare provider in the UK, operating over 200 nurseries, we understand the importance of providing quality childcare for your children. Childcare Vouchers, help to give parents more affordable childcare and the opportunity to choose the type and quality of childcare they want for their children.

Busy Bees Nurseries

Busy Bees was founded in 1983 by three families, all previously involved in care and education, who could not find the quality and standards of childcare they wanted for their own children. The first Busy Bees nursery, The Rocklands, was opened in Lichfield in 1984.

Busy Bees has always aimed to provide the best quality, value for money childcare, creating an environment that presents plentiful opportunities for play, interaction and development. Operating over 200 nurseries, Busy Bees instils the highest standards of childcare into every nursery setting.

Corporate Social Responsibility

The Busy Bees Group is committed to charitable giving, taking part in a number of fundraising activities each year. Busy Bees has raised thousands of pounds since the company was first founded in 1983. Some of the charitable work the group has contributed to includes:

  • Offering free childcare sessions to children in need of care and families in need of support.  Families receiving these sessions will be facing issues such as mental health problems, post natal depression, physical disabilities, safeguarding concerns and individual needs such as speech and language development and illness.
  • Fundraising for charities such as Winston’s Wish, Save the Children, Children’s Forces Trust, Children in Need, Comic Relief, The Rainbow Trust and Sport Relief to name but a few.  Busy Bees actively involve the charities when presenting cheques and fundraising results.
  • Holding fundraising events such as summer fun days, barbecues, entertainment, bake sales and even brave members of staff doing activities as diverse as sky diving and having wet sponges thrown at them.
  • Raising money for the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust in 2012 by holding a ‘Golden Mile’ challenge which involves an Olympic-sized relay where children are encouraged to cover up to eight miles of physical activity over a twelve month period.
  • An Olympic Torch relay event held in 2012 which involves a child friendly Olympic-Bee-themed torch making its way around Busy Bees nurseries across the UK, supported by an array of sports personalities and Paralympic champions at various stages of the journey.  The torch will eventually reach the final destination on the eve of the London Olympic Opening Ceremony.
  • Working with baby charity Tommy’s every year to raise money for research into pregnancy problems and to provide support and advice to parents.
