Childcare can be one of the highest monthly outgoings for working families. Childcare Vouchers are a popular employee benefit available from your employer to help make your childcare more affordable. Simply join your employer's Childcare Voucher scheme and exchange up to £243 per month from your salary in return for the same amount of Childcare Vouchers. Use these to pay for any registered childcare for children up to the age of 16. Both parents can join their employer's Childcare Voucher scheme to maximise the savings available.
The savings you can make depend on your income tax band. Basic Rate taxpayers can save up to £933 per year, Higher Rate can save £624 and Additional Rate can save £620. If both parents join their employer's Childcare Voucher scheme, they could potentially double their savings to more than £1,800 per year.
Childcare Vouchers can be used to pay for registered childcare provided by nurseries, childminders, pre-schools, nannies and au pairs, crèches, play schemes, before and after school clubs, holiday camps, independent schools and more.
To be able to use Childcare Vouchers, employees must be employed, paying PAYE, earning above Living Wage/National Minimum Wage and have responsibility for at least one child.
You will get free access to our Emergency Childcare service provided by Busy Bees nurseries and exclusive discounts to make savings on costs such as food, clothes, toys, shoes, restaurants and days out.
If you use Busy Bees Benefits Childcare Vouchers in a Busy Bees nursery, you will automatically get an additional 5% added to the value of your Childcare Voucher, helping you to save even more.
If your employer does not currently offer a scheme, please contact us and we will contact them on your behalf. If your employer does offer a Busy Bees Benefits scheme, contact us for your registration details.
